Growing up on the Gower peninsula inspired my response to Geological forms which I have translated into hand building. My creativity materialises in irregular forms, asymmetrical beauty, natural shapes and colours. Ceramics in my studio means freedom and surprise; the opportunity to travel back with nostalgia and forward with excitement.

I trained as an architect and this is when I first became interested in watercolour painting. Following early retirement I was able to return to the medium and my work has been exhibited widely in Northern Galleries as well as the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries, London. The Covid Pandemic stopped me painting as I could not get a supply of watercolour Boards and only manged to get a delivery in January of 2021.

Lockdown for me has been the houses at the bottom of my Garden being built for sale these last two years with telescopic cranes, roads dug up for water and gas and lorries starting at 7am and finishing at 5pm.
